The song Ghost Woman was written after the "Once In A Blue Moon" album was already completed and ready for release in January 2007. We postponed the release in order to record Ghost Woman for the album because it fit the vibe of the album so well. And we ended up finding out that the official "Blue Moon" was to take place around the world between late June and early July 2007. So, it worked out perfect to get the song on and release just in time for the "Blue Moon". Lyrics of Ghost woman are written about a dear friend of ours that was killed in a hit and run car accident several years before.

Victim Of Darkness

This song was used on 3 compilation releases by various record labels before the album was officially released in 1997. During an 8 week college radio marketing campaign in fall 1998 Victim Of Darkness made it into over 50 college radio top ten charts.  Instrumental sections of the song have also been used in several indie horror film soundtracks.

Victim Of Darkness was also the first music video by SOTW and was entered into a Sony Music video contest to open for Slayer. Although SOTW did not win the contest - out of thousands of videos submitted the Victim Of Darkness video was selected in the top 5 finalists.

Magnetic Star

The main guitar riff of this song was written on a walk to the store. The lyrics are inspired by Wes and Barry's grandmother Waddell. Repeated 12 times at the intro of the song there is a strange alien voice effect to distort the words "I love Grandma!" The song was also used in the indie horror / sci-fi film Time Enough (part of the 3 part Alien Conspiracy series). A very funny scene where a guy is getting chased down by a UFO and abducted by an alien.

Lost In Hell

Many portray the lyrics of Lost In Hell to be about vampire lovers, but others get the relation to the cover art work. The song is actually about an alien crash landed and trapped on earth and missing his mate light years away on another planet. We tend to throw contrast into a lot of our lyrics to be more on the mystical side. This way the listener tends to form their own ideas of what the song means to them personally. There are several other songs on the Lost In Hell album that fit into the alien trapped on earth concept. Abandoned City, S.O.S, Communion, and Interstellar. But then the second half of the album taps more into voodoo mysticism, witchcraft, metaphysics, and legends with a couple Shakesphere quotes thrown in for special seasoning. :)
